[802SEC] +++EC 5 Day Review+++ Liaison response to ITU SG9 on AAP consent on J.196.2, J.196.3, and J.223.2

Dear EC members,

At the IEEE 802.3 September 2016 interim meeting last week the IEEE 802.3 Working Group approved sending a liaison response to ITU SG9 in respect to the alternative approval process (AAP) consent of draft new Recommendations J.196.2 (J.HiNoC2-phy) - Physical layer specification of second generation HiNoC, J.196.3 (J.HiNoC2-mac) - Media Access Control (MAC) layer specification of second generation HiNoC and J.223.2 (J.C-DOCSIS-spec) - Cabinet DOCSIS (C-DOCSIS) System Specification, contingent on the approval of IEEE 802.3bn as an IEEE standard. The motion passed Y: 68, N: 0, A: 1.

Based on the above, and the approval earlier today of IEEE Std 802.3bn-2016, I'm announcing the start of the five day review required by subclause 8.2.2 'Sponsor subgroup communications with government bodies' of the IEEE 802 LMSC Operations Manual for statements not presented for review in a sponsor meeting. The draft letters are attached and if there is no motion to block made before Wednesday 28th September 2016 23:59 AOE I will go ahead and send the letter.
