[802SEC] IEEE 802.3ch draft PAR and CSD response - Multi-Gig Automotive Ethernet PHY

In support of subclause 9.2 'IEEE 802 LMSC Approval' of the LMSC Operations Manual please find below the required information in respect to the IEEE 802.3ch Standard for Ethernet Amendment: Physical Layer Specifications and Management Parameters for greater than 1 Gb/s Automotive Ethernet PAR for consideration at the March 2017 plenary.

 Explanatory technical background material:
Applications in vehicular industries have begun the transition of legacy networks to Ethernet to support Advanced Driver Assist Systems. This has generated a need for data rates greater than 1 G/bps in the vehicular environment. IEEE Std 802.3 does not currently support rates greater than 1 Gb/s in the vehicular environment.
 Status of the development of the PAR:
The draft PAR and CSD responses are pending IEEE 802.3 Working Group approval at the March 2017 plenary.
