[802SEC] ISOC and WTDC

Colleagues,

 

As reported in the ITU SC this morning:

ITU-D recently held the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-17) in Buenos Aires, Argentina.  IEEE-SA staff attended part of this meeting.

 

This event was an opportunity to engage governments, operators, regulators and also was a precursor to the 2018 ITU Plenipotentiary Conference.

 

Of note is that the Internet Society was quite prominent at WTDC and hosted several side events.   The community network side event was used to promote ISOC’s spectrum policy brief
