[802SEC] IEEE P802.3dd Maintenance #17: Power over Data Lines of Single Pair Ethernet PAR

Dear EC members,

In support of subclause 9.2 'IEEE 802 LMSC Approval' of the IEEE 802 Operations Manual, based on its '48 hour' rule provision, and the concurrence of the sponsor chair as required, please find below the required information in respect to the IEEE P802.3dd Maintenance #17: Power over Data Lines of Single Pair Ethernet PAR for consideration at the upcoming 2nd February 2021 IEEE 802 teleconference meeting.

[2] Explanatory technical background material:

This project is to implement editorial and technical corrections, refinements, and clarifications to Clause 104, Power over Data Lines (PoDL) of Single-Pair Ethernet, and related portions of the standard. No new features will be added by this project.

[3] Status of the development of the PAR:

The draft PAR was approved (Y: 118, N: 0, A: 2) by the IEEE 802.3 Working Group at its interim meeting on Thursday 21st January 2021.
