Re: [802SEC] Update to IEEE 802 Liaison Listing

Hi Ben,

While I can only speak for how I use the page, the definitions provided on the page are as follows:

- Liaison Relationship: A cooperation facilitating a close working relationship between organizations typically via Liaison Statements, Liaison Officials or Liaison Facilitators.
- Liaison Statement: A communication intended to advance cooperation among organizations.
- Liaison Official: A person designated to advance communications among organizations.

Where IEEE 802.3 has a liaison officer (or 'Standards Committee External Liaison Coordinator' to use the name found in subclause 7.1 'Liaisons from Standards Committees to organizations external to IEEE' of the IEEE-SA Standards Board Operations Manual <https://standards.ieee.org/wp-content/uploads/import/documents/other/sb_om.pdf#page=46>) I select 'Official' for the 'Type of Liaison' and provide the name in 'IEEE 802 Working Group Liaison Representative'. In all other cases, where there isn't an IEEE 802.3 liaison officer, I selected one of the other two 'Type of Liaison' settings based on my judgement and set the 'IEEE 802 Working Group Liaison Representative' to 'N/A'. So, for IEEE 802.3 this means that there is no assigned liaison officer.

I do hope this helps.

Best regards,
  David

Hi all who provided Jodi the content for liaison listing (WG Chairs):
I notice that we have "not applicable",  "none", and "to be determined" for some liaison assignments. In the context of this listing, are the three terms equivalent in meaning there is no assigned liaison, or is there some difference intended?
Thanks
Ben
