I would like to request the review of the following draft IEEE 802 submission by Monday 7 August 2023 A.O.E, before proceeding to either a 10-day letter ballot tentatively on Tuesday 8 August 2023.Background:On 14 July 2023, Japan MIC began a consultation asking for public opinion on two draft reports: “Technical conditions for introduction of broadband wireless LAN” and “Technical conditions for advanced use of wireless LAN systems”. Of interest to use is the first detailed report that the administration proposes to enable Standard Power (SP) using automatic frequency control (AFC) for spectrum sharing with fixed communication systems operated in 5925 MHz to 7125 MHz, authorizing 6425 MHz to 7125 MHz for very low power (VLP) and low power indoor (LPI) modes of operation, and enable client-to-client communication under the LPI mode of operation.
An individual prepared a response asking the administration to support the administration's proposal. The proposed response was discussed in the most recent IEEE 802.18 teleconference and approved by a motion with 10 Yes, 0 No, and 1 Abstain.
