Dear Standards Committee Representatives and Working Group Chairs,

Input Requested: New Cookie Consent Management Compliance Guidelines!

In 2018, IEEE took steps for General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance. GDPR has updated its current guidelines for cookie consent on websites. As an organization we need to take action to ensure that, with an increasingly data-driven world, these updates are in place.

IEEE is in the process of finalizing details and over the next several months you will hear more on what actions website owners need to take. 

How you can help

If you own or manage a website for IEEE SA activities that is not hosted on IEEE SA Groups or IEEE Grouper, please notify Markus Plessel no later than 31 August 2023.
