[802SEC] +++ EC review +++ a draft IEEE 802 submission to US FCC

Dear EC members,

I would like to request the review of the following draft IEEE 802 submission by Monday, 2 October 2023 A.O.E, before asking the EC to consider approval of the submission on 3 October 2023.

United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) recently began a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) on a proposal that creates a voluntary cybersecurity labeling program that would provide consumers with clear information, based on criteria developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) about the security of Internet of Things (IoT) devices.

A few individuals prepared a response, which was reviewed and approved by IEEE 802.18 today (28 September 2023) with the following voting results:  8 Yes, 0 No, 1 Abstain.
