I intend to bring in, with other authors from other companies, contributions on the following topics related to Class of Service and 802.1q: 1. The need for an interoperable Class of Service capability useable by 802.1q VLANs and by L3 (and above) protocols. 2. Reconciling the Class of Service needs for 802.1q VLANs with the implicit priority tagging of 802.1p. 3. Techniques for obtaining interoperable Class of Service capabilities for 802.1q VLANs. The exact number and title of the contributions has not been worked out, but I would guess that they will take an aggregate of a morning or an afternoon to discuss. -- Norm
