Background

AMbient Power (AMP) is a new Technical Interest Group within the IEEE 802.11 working group that will address the problem of support of Ambient Power communication in 802.11 network.

Goals

The goal of this IEEE 802.11 Technical Interest Group is to complete a technical report on AMP communication in 802.11 network at or before the March 2023 session.

It is felt that this will not only help users within home, enterprise and public access markets, but also assist manufacturers and operators to provide common components and services for IEEE 802.11 customers.
