Background
Goals
July 2022

Background

Artifical Intelligence Machine Learning is a new Technical Interest Group within the IEEE 802.11 working group that will address the problem of how a Station - STA (e.g. a Mobile Device) ...does something... within the network to which another STA (e.g. an Access Point) is connected.

Goals

The goal of this IEEE 802.11 Technical Interest Group is to produce an amendment to the IEEE 802.11 standard to allow a common approach to allow IEEE 802.11 STAs to ...do something... in a generic and standardized manner.

It is felt that this will not only help users within home, enterprise and public access markets, but also assist manufacturers and operators to provide common components and services for IEEE 802.11 customers.
