  7. Ongoing - Additional WNG/new work & research outreach, Jim Lansford
    1. Some interest expressed, but nothing specific yet
  8. Round table and AOB
    1. Strawpolls in TGbn.
      1. Marc: problematic to require positive outcome to run motion.
      2. Jon: strawpolls gather information.
      3. Alfred: Question is in ad-hoc, not TG meeting. If these are just motions the joint will be too busy. Limited feedback from discussion but large number of no votes.
      4. Mark H: Not an issue of recorded vote. Issue is takes time for people to process. Run more motions!
      5. Alfred: Run strawpoll to get feedback, but strawpoll fails to provide info without member list.
      6. Mike M: Echo Jon, Mark H. Up to the person making the proposal to build consensus.
      7. Carol: 5 people say not, but you can’t follow up because you don’t know who they are. Easier to follow up when everyone is in the room, but harder online.
      8. Laurent: Earlier in 11be were looking at how people were voting. Then we made them anonymous. People want to see the result of the votes; it worked better when this was available.
      9. Alfred: Hard to follow up after a 200 person vote.
      10. Jon: Use the reflector more.
  9. Action items
      1. IEEE-SA myProject tool request: Add a calendar reminder, sent to SA ballot pool members, in the notification of SA ballot opening – Request initiated.
      2. Check TGbc mailed award status with IEEE staff – still open
