The baseline spec (REVmd) has a few instances which covers the 1st bullet in my SP.
For example in 9.3.1.8.2 (Compressed BA variant), we have the following statement (highlighted below)

In REVmd 3.1, it just has the following sentence in subclass 10.25.6.8 Maintaining block ack state at the originator
If the originator receives a BlockAck frame in response to an HT-immediate BlockAckReq frame, it shall, in addition,
— Not update the status of MPDUs with Sequence
Number subfield values between WinStartO and SSN of the received BlockAck frame, and
— Not update the status of MPDUs that have
been already positively acknowledged.
Could you point it out which page in the Spec has the similar statement to the first bullet in your SP. Don’t you mean “the originator
shall
maintain block ack state” ? I am just curious about it. Thanks for your answer ahead.
