Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBE] References on spec text writing

Hello all,

It's just a friendly reminder when you prepare the TGbe amendment text.

A few things for quick refresh:
[1]  use visio to prepare your figures, except frame format
[2]  when you prepare your figure, please make sure you draw it in monochrome format
[3]  attach your visio file in your document so that I can save it (when the IEEE 802.11be amendment is published, I am required to send all the visio files to the IEEE-SA Publication Editor)
[4]  for frame formats, you can draw them using microsoft table.
[5]  when you cite a subclause in previous standards or amendments, please make sure you use the following latest versions:
IEEE P802.11REVmd™/D3.4
IEEE P802.11ax™/D6.1,
IEEE P802.11ay™/D5.0,
IEEE P802.11az™/D2.2,
IEEE P802.11ba™/D6.1,
IEEE P802.11bb™/D0.1,
IEEE P802.11bc™/D0.1,
IEEE P802.11bd™/D0.3

Edward

Hello all,

While I understand many of you have experience in preparing text for draft amendment/standards, I do appreciate if you would review the following two documents that would help, e.g., use appropriate words for normative and nonnormative text, and minimize the number of editorial errors:

802.11 Style Guide:
https://mentor.ieee.org/802.11/dcn/09/11-09-1034-16-0000-802-11-editorial-style-guide.docx

Section 6.4 of the IEEE-SA Standards Board Operations Manual:
