Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBE] NSTR mobile AP MLD definition

Hi Stephen,

I’m afraid your proposed definition doesn’t capture the spirit of mobile AP.

See the following reference sentence copy from 21/1180r2:

Mobile APs are anticipated to be lower power, smaller form factor devices with more limited processing capability than APs, and generally with fewer STAs associated.

Thanks

Best Regards

Jay Yang

Subject: [STDS-802-11-TGBE] NSTR mobile AP MLD definition

Dear all,

I've also been asked to look at CID 12471, defining "mobile AP":

mobile access point (AP): An AP that ordinarily moves around, but might also be in a fixed location.

and then:

nonsimultaneous transmit and receive (NSTR) mobile access point (AP) multi-link device (MLD): A mobile AP multi-link device (MLD) with at least one NSTR link pair.

Any thoughts or comments?

Kind regards

Stephen
