Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBE] Readiness of D4.0 + call for volunteers

Dear Alfred and all,

I am happy to inform you that D4.0 is now ready :)

I've generated the D4.0 package, secured Alfred (TG chair)'s approval, and sent it to the Working Group leadership.

Thanks again to all the authors who responded to my email timely for the review.  In addition, I would like to express my sincere thanks to Stephen McCann, Shimi Shilo. John Wullert, and Gaurav Patwardhan for the formatting review, as well as Lisa Ward and Ross Yu for helping on Visio and emfs.

Regards,
Edward

Dear Alfred and all,

As of now, D4.0 is about 90% ready.

1.  I just completed my roll-in of all approved documents and asked the authors to review.  I am also awaiting a few authors to share with me the Visios and emfs for publication.

2.  My next step is to align clause 6 with REVme D3.0, which I believe it may need one to two days.

3.  Then I will prepare both the redline version (with the CID tags) and the clean version (with all CID tags being removed).  The preparation of the clean version will take me some time as there is a chance I may need to manually delete those 1000+ green CID tags.

Before I proceed to item 3, I may need a few volunteers to review the format of the soon-to-be-published draft and check (best effort only) if there is any missing "hot link" of cross reference.  This volunteer task may consume you a few hours depending on how you consider "best effort" (dont get me wrong,  I still greatly appreciate your time and dedication as it is not a fun task!).  If you are interested,  please send me an offline message by the end of this Friday (21 July 2023).

Regards,
Edward
