First, we would like to thank everyone who have volunteered to resolve LB276 comments:  489 out of the 545 comments we received have been assigned.

 

I would ask everyone to please go over the remaining 56 comments – virtually all of which are in the DMG and Reporting groups – and let us know if you could volunteer to take them.  You can find a revised version of our comment assignment spreadsheet here: https://mentor.ieee.org/802.11/dcn/23/11-23-1394-03-00bf-lb276-comments-and-approved-resolutions.xlsx

 

I’m planning to take the following approach in Thursday’s call to complete the assignment process:

  • For a comment submitted by someone that participates in TGbf, assign it to its commenter. 
  • For a comment submitted by someone that does not participate in TGbf, assign it to either:
    • Same volunteer of similar comments,
    • The PoC of its group, or
    • Any other volunteer we identify as appropriate based on discussion.

TGbf’ers,

361 out of the 545 comments received haven’t been assigned yet. 

We need everyone’s help to successfully address LB276 comments on a timely manner.  For this reason,

  • If you haven’t volunteered yet, please do so.  We’re counting on you.
  • If you've already volunteered, thank you! However… your PoC might reach out to you, asking if you can manage extra comments (technically aligned with the ones you have already requested).  If this happens, please accept the extra comments if you can.

Do not hesitate to send Tony and/or I a note if we can be of help.

As Dorothy announced a few hours ago (https://www.ieee802.org/11/email/stds-802-11/msg07534.html), LB276 closed with an approval rate of 85.8% and 545 comments.

A few action items:

  • PoCs: Please review the comments that I have tentatively assigned to your area, and let me know if you any changes are needed.
  • PoCs: Once you’ve reviewed the comments assigned to your area, please send a request for volunteers to your TTT.  (Please cc Tony and I.)
  • Volunteers: As we have done in the past, possibly for the last time, comment assignments will be handled by the PoCs.  Please work directly with the PoC(s) assigned to handle the comments you would like to volunteer for.
  • PoCs: Once you have an initial assignment list, please send it to me (and Tony).  Please use the same text format we adopted in the past (Volunteer1 X, Y, Z…).

Please find an updated list of PoCs below.
