Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBN] Definition of Distribution Bandwidth

Hi Mahmoud,

Thank you for initiating the discussions.

I think Option 2 is good. Can you please change channel width to channel bandwidth in the sentence?

Thanks
Yan

Dear all,

A few comments proposed to add a definition for  “Distribution Bandwidth” in the next draft of 11bn, and in yesterday’s PHY call, I received a suggestion to initiate a discussion to agree on a definition.
Below are 3 options for the definition, please share your thoughts on which one of them captures the concept accurately.

Option1:   Distribution bandwidth of a DRU: The minimum bandwidth of a channel in which all DRUs with the same number of tones and the same tone spacing as this DRU can be allocated.

Option2:   Distribution bandwidth: A 20, 40, 60, or 80 MHz channel width over which the subcarriers of a distributed-tone resource unit (DRU) are allocated.

Option3:   Distribution bandwidth: The width of a channel over which the subcarriers of one or more distributed-tone resource units (DRUs) are distributed.

Best Regards,
Mahmoud
