[STDS-802-11-TGBN] 回复: [STDS-802-11-TGBN] SP request for (MAC) for Seamless Roaming PDT Part 1 (566r9) and PDT Part 2 (736/r4)

Hi Duncan,

Thanks. I see you add the following text. This change makes me confused. Because I don’t know which part is for the separate MAC SAP per AP MLD of the SMD, which part is for one MAC SAP of the SMD, and which part is applied for both of them. For example, for the context transfer, we haven’t discussed which context needs to be transferred for one MAC SAP of the SMD. Another example is, for the UL transmission, the non-AP MLD doesn’t need to stop sending UL Data frames to its current AP MLD. Because there is only one MAC SAP, one IEEE 802.1X control port and one DS SAP. I don’t see any issue to allow the non-AP MLD to continue to send the UL data to the current AP MLD.

For the separate MAC SAP per AP MLD of the SMD, I hope we can have more discussion on whether the IEEE 802.1X port is blocked or unblocked. If you take a look at the IEEE 802.1X protocol, the state machine of the control port only depends on the security. That means once the secure session is established, the IEEE 802.1X control port should be unblocked.

Regards

Guogang Huang

Dear Alfred,

I’ve updated both Part 1 and Part 2 per the feedback I received offline and during the meeting. I believe they are ready for SP.
