Hi Matt, Thanks for the excellent job on NPCA PDT.
During the last Thu. teleconference, many members asked questions on the mode of the non-AP STA not using untriggered UL transmission on NPCA channel by setting NPCA AIFSN to 0. To my understanding, it is hard for the AP to make the non-AP STA not EDCA NPCA channel by this way. Firstly, the AP has to keep triggering UL transmission to the non-AP STA to keep the corresponding MUEDCATimer not expired.
Secondly, the situation becomes more sophisticated in case that EDCA BSS channel is allowed for the non-AP STA. Why not just use a single bit in the signaling to indicate the mode, which is easier for the AP implementation and also clearer for reading ?
