Since there was no consensus on IDC signalling in TGbn, I would like to suggest harmonising the two proposals 25/1009 and 24/0414 as follows: Add two bits in BA Control field in MBSA frames. These contain: - 1-bit: MCS Recommendation Provided - 1-bit: MCS Reduction Recommendation. Reserved if MCS Recommendation Provided is 0. Otherwise 0 to recommend no MCS change (IDC determined by STA to be limiting), 1
to recommend MCS reduction (channel conditions determined by STA to be limiting) Add an optional PPDU Rx Feedback field in MSBA frames. This contains: - 10-bit: MPDU Error Count. Number of MPDU delimiter and FCS errors observed, or all-ones if not provided - 1-bit: No Rx Report Type. Reserved if No Rx Report is all-ones - 8-bit: No Rx Report. All-ones if not provided, else the cumulative duration of IDC absence during the PPDU in units of 64 us if No Rx Report Type is 0, or the percentage
of IDC absence during the PPDU if No Rx Report Type is 1 - remaining bits reserved This allows implementations to choose what they want to do. If they want to provide just a one-bit MCS recommendation, they can do so. If they want to provide just rx feedback, they can do so (and they can choose whether to provide both an error count and a no rx report). If they want to do both, they can do so. Thanks, Mark --
