Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBN] Updated P2P PDT - R4

Hi Chun,

Thank you for your question.

That particular sentence means that there would be only one SCS negotiator per P2P group. This is for simplifying the overall procedure and AP’s request manageability (also to avoid duplicate requests).

The sentence cannot be removed, as it seems to be a hard requirement from the AP side. Also, we arrived at the current version of the text after much discussion with the member body; I am a bit hesitant to change at this stage.  Hope you understand, Chun.

Hi,Rubayet,

Could you please provide some further explanation about this particular sentence: "For a particular P2P group, at most one non-AP STA that is a member of the P2P group can send the SCS request frame to the AP requesting TXOP allocation for that P2P group".

Because there exists potential ambiguity  in "particular P2P group":

1. The requesting STA, and the specific STA(s) with which it intends to communicate.

2. A complete P2P group, e.g. WiFi Direct, that may include STAs the requesting STA currently has no need to communicate with.

Would it be possible to either clarify this wording to avoid misunderstanding, or potentially remove this sentence if that would be more straightforward?

Best Regards,

Chun Huang

Hi Alfred,

Document 11-25/764 was in the MAC agenda for 07/03, but was deferred due to requests received. Could you please schedule this document (11-25/764)  for the next MAC call for running SP?

Dear P2P TTT members,

Thank you for carefully reviewing the R3 version and providing valuable feedback. Really appreciate it.

In the R4 version of the document (available here and attached), I believe I have addressed all the comments received either offline or online since R3. Could you please review this latest version and let me know if you have any additional comments?

Thank you so much!

Best

Rubayet
