Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBN] [EXT] Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBN] 11-25/669 ---- CC50 MAC CIDs for DPS

Hi Manasi,

I made the following changes per your suggestion:

The Parameterized Flag field is set to 0 to indicate that only 20 MHz, 1 SS, non-HT PPDU format with the data rate of 6, 12, and 24 Mb/s as the default mode are supported by the DPS STA in the LC mode. The Parameterized Mode field is set to 1 to indicate that a bandwidth up to the bandwidth indicated in the LC Mode Bandwidth field, a number of spatial streams up to the NSS indicated in the LC Mode Nss field, and an MCS up to the MCS indicated in the LC Mode MCS fields are supported by the DPS STA in the LC mode as the parameterized mode. If the DPS STA sets the Parameterized Mode to 1 then all PPDU formats up to UHR PPDU are supported by the DPS STA in LC mode

Best Regards,

Liwen

Hi Liwen

Thanks for the feedback.

I think if some members prefer to keep Default mode field, please consider changing text like below in blue to clarify the encoding value for both Default value 1 and Default value 0 (which is parameterized mode)

Suggest to define Default mode = 0 implies Parameterized mode and modify the statement for better clarity:

. If the Default Mode field is equal to 1, the LC Mode Bandwidth, LC Mode Nss, and LC Mode MCS fields are reserved and ICF Required field is either equal to 0 or equal to 1. If the Default Mode field is equal to 0, it indicates Parameterized mode of operation with LC Mode Bandwidth, LC Mode NSS and LC Mode MCS Field as defined below:”

 Thanks and Regards

Manasi

Hi Manasi,

Thanks.

I changed the resolution of #2418 to revised. For Default Mode field, I received the feedback that some member prefer what is in the document.

Liwen

You don't often get email from emanzee@xxxxxxxxx. Learn why this is important

Hi Liwen

Thanks for sharing the PDT.

Attached are clarification comments that I shared with you offline too. Request to address them.

1. Clarify Comment ID # 2418 status that it is revised. I see it in the list, but in the table of comment IDs, the Resolution is not updated.

2. Regarding: adding Default Mode field in DPS Operation Parameters field.

Another better alternative is to use Parameterized mode instead of Default mode (as it looks counter intuitive to define a field for already what is default, instead we can indicate that it is Parameterized mode field and when that is set to 0, it means it is going to be default)

Hi all,

I made the following changes per the comments received in ad hoc meeting:

1, adding Default Mode field in DPS Operation Parameters field.

2, adding resolution of CID 2131.

3, ICF selection rules with/without DUO under DPS.

If you have comments, please let me know.

Best  Regards,

Liwen
