Hi Abhi, Thanks for sharing the document. I’ve a concern related to the following line in the CR doc: “When conditions for ST execution are met and at least one prepared link of the target AP MLD is operational, then the Status Code field in the ST execution response shall be set to SUCCESS;
otherwise, the Status Code field in the ST execution response shall be set to REJECTED_ST_EXEC_NO_ACCEPTED_LINK_OPERATIONAL. NOTE - It is possible that the target AP MLD performs an AP removal operation by following the procedures described in 35.3.6.3 (Removing affiliated AP(s)) after the ST preparation.” Does this not create a case where a non-AP MLD performs all the steps of SMD BSS transition on time and still gets a rejection during ST execution? As long as ST execution is done within timeout, a reject during ST execution is not desirable.
I wanted to understand the assumptions and thought process behind this design. Could you kindly clarify?
