Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBP] Agenda for TGbp TC on Apr 21 updated

Hello, Yaron,

All pending SFD MAC SPs are arranged starting from Wed AM2, after all MAC submissions were presented.

And your SP text is updated per your request. If you wish to run your SP as early as possible, we can try put your SP at the top of the pending SP list, if no objection from all owners of SPs impacted. We will decide that at the beginning of Wed AM2.

Best Regards,
Bo

Hi Bo

Pls help schedule my SP for tomorrow Wed AM1(preferred) or AM2, if possible:

“Do you support adding the following to the TGbp SFD?
The TGbp SFD will support the Active Tx non-AP AMP STAs transmitting a measurement report
containing the charge rate or RSSI measured during energizing;
The measurement report to be sent is TBD.”

Reference documents are:
[11-26/0076r2, 11-26/0571r0,  11-26/0595r0]

Explanation:
This SP is primarily for enabling location in a multi-energizer AMP system.
Both charge rate and RSSI can serve this purpose (charge rate is actually another form of RSSI).
The absolute measurement accuracy is not critical – but rather the difference between energizers, as they are received by the STA.
These differences enable the AP to locate the STA.
Using RSSI is fast but requires an ADC (3-5 bits) – however, if the STA supports energy status report
(Ian’s motion for Energy Status Report) the STA already has it.
Using Charge Rate requires ~5 bits counter driven by 1Mhz clock or so – and doesn’t need an ADC.
I’m OK with both implementation methods.

Thanks and Best regards

Yaron

Hi Bo

I can’t participate in tomorrow’s meeting, so I ask that you add my SP to the May 6th meeting and give it a higher priority so that I will be able to present it after it was deferred twice.

Thank you

Yaron

Hi Bo

I don’t see my SP in today’s agenda.

You may recall that we didn’t have time for it last week.

Can you pls add it ?

Thanks

Yaron

Hello, all,

Please be aware that the agenda for coming TGbp TC was updated based on received contribution/SP requests to the reflector since last TC.

We have several tech contributions which have been postponed for several TCs, so the TC on Apr 21 will focus on tech contributions and pending PDT/SFD SPs. All PDT  proposals will be arranged in TC on Apr 28.

Best Regards,

Bo
