Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBQ] request clarification on motion 12

+ TGbq reflector

Hi Yajun,

As I explained on the Webex chat, TGbe spec requires that an MLD have at least one link in enabled state. Even without the mmW link, the spec will require at least one link on sub7 to be in enabled state.

Please see 802.11be-2024 spec page 525 (35.3.7.2.1):

“At any point in time, a TID shall always be mapped to at least one setup link both in DL and UL, which means that a TTLM change is only valid and successful if it will not result in having any TID for which the link set for DL or UL is made of zero setup links.”

Regards,

Abhi

Hi, Abhishek

As discussed for motion 12 just now.

A more accurate statement would be An MLD that has at least one affiliated mmWave STA and at least one enabled mmWave link shall have at least one other affiliated STA that is operating on an enabled link located in the sub 7.25 GHz band.

If all the mmWave are disabled, it is not necessary for at least one 7GHz link to be enabled.

Thanks,

Yajun
