Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBQ] Second Update // Re: TGbq: call for presentation, straw poll, and/or motions - January 2026 wireless interim

Hi Edward,

Could you kindly queue the following SP. The supporting documents have been presented in the past.

SP (25/1577r1, 25/1523r0)

Do you agree that an IMMW AP shall beam sweep a beam discovery frame

  • The frame shall contain at least an AP identifier, transmit beam index and a TSF related parameter.
  • TBD: TSF may be a partial or complete TSF
  • The frame can be configured to be transmitted in a semi-persistent manner

Note: The frame can be a new frame or an existing frame. Name of the frame is TBD.

Thanks.

Peshal

Hello all,

Based on the agenda requests so far, I've uploaded an initial version of the agenda spreadsheet at:
https://mentor.ieee.org/802.11/dcn/25/11-25-2313-00-00bq-tgbq-agenda-2026-january-wireless-interim.xlsx

Please kindly let me know if I may miss any request you sent to me in the past few weeks, and I do apologize in advance if so.

Regards,

Edward

Hello all,

Hope you have a nice weekend.

I forgot to mention that, subject to the requests, I may allocate

1)  Monday PM3 and Tuesday AM1 for MAC

2)  Tuesday PM1 and Thursday AM2 for PHY/joint

3)  Thursday PM1 for joint and/or any backlogs from the MAC and PHY queues.

If you plan to conduct SP(s) for your contribution(s), it's great if you may tell me too as I will see if I can allocate additional time for you, as I typically allocate about 23 minutes per contribution.

In the meantime, I wish all of you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year : )

Regards,

Edward

Dear Task Group bq participants,

Hope all is well with you.

With this email, I am calling for contributions, straw polls, and/or motions you may want to present in our five 2-hour meeting slots in the 2026 January wireless interim (Monday PM3, Tuesday AM1, Tuesday PM1, Thursday AM2, and Thursday PM1).

Of note is that please kindly consider a best practice to upload your contribution to our document server preferably at least one day in advance prior to your presentation.  It may help facilitate the review and discussion of your presentation.

Note - I already acknowledged the request from Abhi and Laurent who sent their requests to the email reflectors in the past few days.

Regards,
Edward
