Dear Edward and TGbq participants,
I would first like to express my sincere gratitude to all TG bq participants, including the TGbq leadership, for your support.
Serving as TGbq Secretary for about a year and a half has been an incredibly memorable experience for me, and I deeply regret that, due to a change in my role and career over the next couple of years, I will not be able to continue serving as the TGbq Secretary until the TGbq amendment is published.
Now, I would like to nominate my colleague Jinho Choi for the position of next secretary to IEEE 802.11bq Task Group.
Jinho has 15+ years of experience in wireless networking technologies (Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, 5G, and Bluetooth), with extensive expertise in spectrum sharing and traffic control across heterogeneous networks.
In IEEE 802, He has been contributing to TGbn for P2P and QoS topics, and is now actively contributing to TGbq, mainly on beam establishment and broadcast/multicast operations.
Previously, he was involved in 5G NR rollouts, including mmWave, at a telecom operator and has conducted long-term advanced research on Layer 2 technologies for 5G and 6G standards. His comprehensive R&D background in cellular and heterogeneous networks will serve as a valuable asset to the TGbq.
I believe Jinho will be able to support the TGbq Chair, Vice-Chairs, and Edtitor, both administratively and technically, helping ensure smooth discussions and progress on the specification work.
Thanks for your support and consideration, and I appreciate it once again.
Sincerely regards,
Jonghoe Koo
