Thanks for the PDT.

 

The M-SIG field content shall be identical in all 80 MHz segments as shown in the following adopted structure. I think it should be included in the PDT.

 

[Motion #45]

  • The non-IMMW modulated fields (M-STF, M-LTF and SIG) for BW320 PPDU are defined with the following format:

    • M-LTF and SIG(s) are FD four times (4x) duplicated (80MHz DUP)
    • M-LTF and SIG(s) use the same tone plan
    • M-STF is FD two times (2x) Duplicated (160MHz DUP)
    • Number of tones (e.g., 52/56 etc.) & detailed tone plan TBD
    • The name and structure of SIG(s) subfield is TBD
    • Phase rotation TBD.

 

In addition, you cannot just refer to 42.3.5 (Overview of the PPDU encoding process) for detailed procedure regarding encoding, modulation mapping, tone plan and pilot tones since 42.3.5 just describes a brief procedure. It would be better to refer to another section or add detailed procedure into Encoding and Modulation section. The following is the motion for the tone plan and pilots.

 

[Motion #49]

  • The M-LTF and SIG subfield of 320 MHz PPDU is defined as four times duplication of VHT 20MHz tone plan. The 320MHz loaded tones are shown in the following table:

 

You may also want to add some texts for phase rotation considering the following motions.

 

[Motion #50]

  • The M-LTF and SIG subfields of 320MHz IMMW PPDUs apply 8-segment rotation [1 1 1 1 -1 1 1 -1] in frequency domain with each polarity for one 40MHz segment, from negative frequency to positive frequency.

Note: the phase rotation sequence is the same as the one defined in the data portion of UHR ELR PPDU

 

[Motion #76]

  • Both M-LTF and SIG(s) subfields of 640 MHz IMMW PPDUs apply the same 16-segment phase rotation [1 1 1 1 -1 1 1 -1 1 1 -1 -1 -1 1 -1 1] as below
    • The phase rotation applied in frequency domain with each polarity for one 40 MHz segment, from negative frequency to positive frequency
    • Note: the first 8 entries of [1 1 1 1 -1 1 1 -1] applied on the lower 320 MHz are the same phase rotation applied for M-LTF/SIG(s) subfields of 320 MHz IMMW PPDUs
