Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBT] Volunteer for CID assignments

Hi Dan,

Thanks. My intention was not to ignore your current contribution and take over providing the resolutions, just to help lead a discussion among interested parties so that we could make progress on agreeing to the text changes to the draft.

Cheers,

Mike

Since I already have a resolution to the PDT-PAKE CIDs, namely 11-26/0089r7, but soon to be r8, I would also like those CIDs to be assigned to me.

But we still haven’t come to any agreement on what a solution would look like. Nick Sullivan, in his response to the CFRG liaison, asked some very direct questions that the group *SHOULD* be able to immediately answer but we have had no discussion on a PAKE for a very, very long time. I also have 11-26/1542r1 that discusses some of these issues and could’ve  been used to arrive at some consensus on these issues to already have answers to the questions Nick raised but, regrettably, it is never put on the agenda.

Which reminds me, what’s up with these TTTs whose makeup and POC are supposed to be announced so we can start making some progress on those issues? Our October 13th TBD telecon never happened. Next week is WFA week and then we have 2 free weeks before the 802.11 face-to-face—not a lot of time to organize and announce a series of teleconferences for our umpteen TTTs-- so it looks like we’re gonna be in the same place as we were 2 months ago, we will be devoted to cleaning up the 802.1X and PoW text. Actually, it’s the same place we were 4 months ago.

  Sigh.

  Dan.

Hi Stephen,

I would like to volunteer to propose resolutions to CIDs in the comment group "PDT-PAKE" and would ask if those CIDs be assigned to me.

I would also like to know others who would want to work with me on the resolution to these comments.

Thanks,

Mike
