[STDS-802-11-TGM] GEN AdHoc Report file Posted -- 11-15/665r34 -- Proposed Motions listed

--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Task Group M Technical Reflector ---
There are 47 CIDs left in the file.  I will look for a motion to resolve all on Friday's Telecon.

Here is a summary of the 6 CID tabs:
"Gen-Waikoloa-C" tab: 3 CIDs are marked ready for Motion, but we ran out of time in Waikoloa to approve.  I plan to ask for approval of the 3 proposed resolutions.

Gen-Waikoloa-A-pulled" tab: CID 7106 should have been in the Waikoloa Motion #234:

Note from the Minutes in 11-16/717r0:. 7.8.4  REVmc Secretary Note: CID 7106/7107 - We resolved it in discussion above, but Motion #234 cites CID 7107 instead.  The database resolves CID 7107 with motion #234, but that is not the right resolution – CID 7101 should still be open.  The Motion deck shows CID 7107, but other than the motion, the discussion and the submission 11-16/709 has CID 7106, 7311, 7312, 7404, 7408.  We will need to re-motion 7106 and 7107.

I will ask to motion the proposed resolution: -       “Revised” with a resolution of “Incorporate the text changes in 11-16/709r2 <https://mentor.ieee.org/802.11/dcn/16/11-16-0709-02-000m-cids-7106.docx>

"MIB" tab:1 CID with a proposed resolution for CID 7486:
Rejected;  Page 144 line 12 states: “In order to provide correct MAC operation, an SME is present within each STA.” – i.e., the SME is a component of a STA. Therefore a statement that a dot11*Activated variable is set by the STA does not exclude the variable being set by the SME .The commenter’s rationale for this change “set by the SME, not the STA”,  is therefore incorrect.

"Other PHY" tab: with a proposed resolution for CID 7133:
 Accept.

"Security" tab: Proposed Resolutions for CID 7377 and CID 7604
CID 7604:  Proposed Resolution: REJECT: Both MLME-SETKEYS.request (6.3.19.1.2) and MLME-SETKEYS.The cell for MLME-SETKEYS.request (6.3.20.1.2) have the valid range set to "N/A"

CID 7377: Proposed Resolution failed vote in Waikoloa, propose to change to "Delete Cited sentence"

"GEN Insufficient Detail" tab: This tab has 39 CIDs marked Submission required.
A Proposed resolution of Proposed Resolution:
"REJECTED;  The comment fails to identify changes in sufficient detail so that the specific wording of the changes that will satisfy the commenter can be determined."
has been prepared in the AdHoc Notes for each CID.  I will ask to approve the rejection for those CIDs that do not have a submission during the May 27th Telecon.

CID 7107 while marked as resolved by Motion #234, I would ask that a new proposed resolution be used:
Proposed Resolution: REJECTED;  The comment fails to identify changes in sufficient detail so that the specific wording of the changes that will satisfy the commenter can be determined.
which is in the AdHoc Notes for CID 7107 in the previous GEN AdHoc file: see 11-15/665r33 "GEN insufficient Detail" tab.

Regards,
Jon
