REVmf CD 500 currently appears as:

500

"AP represented by this BSSID" is weird and should be just "reported AP" (5x on page 1200 and 1x on page 1201, plus 1x on page 6192)

As it says in the comment

Similar, examples of "AP identified by this BSSID" start on P1198. Suggest changing the sentence at P1198.47 to, "The subsequent fields in the Neighbor Report element pertain to this BSS *and the BSS's AP*." and then simplifying both styles of phrases as proposed. (Consider if the ones in the MIB (of both styles) are sufficiently covered by the statement in clause 9, though.)

 

Cited locations are: 1200.15/20/26/32/39, 1201.21

 

Additional locations for the change: 1199.52/57, 1201.47/51, 1202.20, 1198.55/56, 1199.47

 

Add to 1198.47 sentence (after "pertain to this BSS"), "and the AP operating the BSS"

 

Bring back in Nov.

Based on discussion at the Oct ad hoc (on Oct 2), the group to update the wording on page 1198, to “BSS and the AP operating the BSS”.

 

At this point, I believe the Ad Hoc notes adequately capture the details needed for clear editing instructions, including that rewording change.  I would like to suggest this CID be added to the REVmf agenda, to review the current Ad Hoc notes and consider as the complete resolution (as Revised, of course).

 

If anyone has a concern with this, please let me know.
