| --- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Task Group M Technical Reflector ---
Hi all, I presented document 11-26-1633-10 addressing CIDs 2340, 2341, and 2342, with proposed resolutions to clarify the initialization vector construction for GMAC when used with BIP and
CIP. https://mentor.ieee.org/802.11/dcn/26/11-26-1633-10-000m-cr-for-control-frame-protection.docx The proposed clarification aligns with the test vectors in Annex J and the nonce construction used by GCMP. Specifically, it clarifies that the least significant octet (PN0) is the
last octet of the IPN/BIPN or PN/CIPN when constructing the initialization vector. Per the suggestion of the TGm leadership, I am sharing this proposal with the reflector for broader review. Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.
