[STDS-802-11] News from the EC telecon / change in cancellation policy for March meeting

Dear 802.11 participants,
At the 802 executive committee (EC) meeting last night, three motions
were approved that
are (potentially) relevant to 802.11 participants.
1. 802.11 Motion to send Standards to ISO IEC/JTCI
Motion: Approve submission of the following standards to ISO/IEC
JTC1/SC6 for adoption under the PSDO agreement:
IEEE 802.11-2016
IEEE 802.11ai-2016
IEEE 802.11ah-2016 (upon publication)

Seconded: Jon Rosdahl
2. 802.11 Motion to send Liaison to ISO IEC
Motion: Approve liaison of IEEE P802.11aq D8.0 to ISO/IEC JTC1/SC6 for
information under the PSDO agreeement.

3. Motion: Move to fully refund the March 802 Plenary registration fee
when a registrant indicates by 12 March 2017 that
immigration circumstances beyond control may prevent
attendance or subsequent return.

(amended from memory of what was finally approved - the telecon minutes
won't be posted for a while)
This motion effectively changes the cancellation policy for the March
meeting in the light of recent events in the US related to
immigration.
