[STDS-802-11] Please participate in IEEE 802.11 Coex SC voting during Thu PM1

G’day all

 

The IEEE 802.11 Coexistence SC will be considering the approval of at least one LS to ETSI BRAN during the Thu PM1 session.

 

One known proposed LS is to provide support for compromise adaptivity rules in EN 301 893 that allow 802.11ax to use either the traditional ED/PD thresholds or the ED-only mechanism preferred by the unlicensed LTE technologies. The proposed compromise adaptivity rules are similar to those supported by the LS from IEEE 802.11 WG in March 2018 but are now justified based on a suggestion by a participant at the last ETSI BRAN meeting.

Everyone is encouraged to review this material and participate in the discussion and voting during Thu PM1! Resolving this adaptivity issue is important to ensure that 802.11ax can achieve its potential!
