cc 802.11, 802.15, 802.19 members,

On 29 February 2024, Thailand National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) began a 2-month consultation asking for public opinion on the (draft) amendment to  technical standards for telecommunications equipment and equipment.  using the frequency 5.925 – 6.425 GHz.

As you may refer to the consultation (in Thai) here, selected findings are summarized as follows:
  • In addition to FCC Part 15.407 Title 47, an additional reference of ETSI EN 303 687 v1.1.1 or later edition is included
  • Modified the spectral density value for selected radio equipments with EIRP of 25mW from 1.25 mW/MHz to 12.5 mW/MHz

The consultation deadline is 1 May 2024.  If you would like IEEE 802 LMSC to submit a response, please bring a contribution to IEEE 802.18 to review and consider approval no later than 3pm ET, Thursday, 18 April 2024.
