Re: [STDS-802-11] TGmf teleconference announcement - 28 April

--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Working Group Reflector ---
Po-Kai,
I have some additional editorial suggestions within the enclosed and an editorial comment.

Additionally, I'd also like to see this submission consider other encryption schemes other than GCMP-256, which is an earlier point that Dan made. This would make the scheme a lot more flexible.

I'm also concerned that on noisy radio channels, protected control frames would introduce a lot of extra resources to the detriment of maintaining the data channel. Therefore it would be useful to reduce the size of the MIC (as Mike also suggested) to possibly prevent this.

Kind regards

Stephen

Hi Po-kai,

Assuming you have updates to your proposal, could you please circulate your updated proposal (i.e. post a link to this reflector) for comments at least 10 days prior to the TGmf teleconference?

I think it would go a long way to ensuring that people are prepared for the meeting.

Cheers,

Mike

Hi Mike,

I plan to update 11-25/260 based on the received comments, and I would like to request the motion on the updated contribution during the teleconference call.

Can you help me to include 11-25/260 in the agenda? Thanks.

Best,

Po-Kai

Hello everyone,

As discussed yesterday, TGmf will be holding a teleconference at 10am ET on 28 April 2025 for 2 hours.

The agenda for the teleconference will include contributions that we were unable to review during the session this week.

Cheers,

Mike
