[STDS-802-11] Australia ACMA: Decision re Remaking of the LIPD Class Licence- outcomes released [SEC=OFFICIAL]

As for the Australia ACMA's consultation on the remaking of the LIPD class licence, the administration has made the decision earlier today (5 September 2025).   Please kindly refer to the following email and the related materials about their decisions.

Once again, thanks so much for the collaborative work from many of our 802.11, 802.15, and 802.18 participants for our submission to the administration that they took many of our comments into account.

Good afternoon,

 

Thank you for your submission to the Remaking the low interference potential devices class licence consultation process.

 

After considering submissions, we decided to proceed with making the Radiocommunications (Low Interference Potential Devices) Class Licence 2025. The instrument will commence on 1 October 2025. 

 

The class licence includes new arrangements for:

  • wireless audio transmitters using wireless multi-channel audio system (WMAS) in the 520–694 MHz range
  • frequency-hopping radiocommunications transmitters in the 5925–6425 MHz band
  • digital modulation radiocommunications transmitters in the 5150–5250 MHz band
  • RLAN radiocommunications transmitters in the 6425–6585 MHz band
  • radiodetermination radiocommunications transmitters in the 13.4–14 GHz band
  • radiodetermination radiocommunications transmitters in the 76–77 GHz band.
