[STDS-802-11] Coex SC -- Call for nominations for VC

we will be holding leadership elections for Coex SC in May.

Per 802.11 Operations Manual:

SC Chair:

>> The Standing Committee Chair is appointed by the WG Chair and is re-affirmed by the WG majority approval.  

Note — I have indicated to our WG Chair that I will be available to continue as SC Chair. I would appreciate your

support in continuing in this role.

SC Vice Chair:

Since the OM does not explicity specify the election process for VC for SCs, I would follow the procedure

for Task groups, i.e.:

>> TG Vice-Chair is elected by a TG majority approval and confirmed by a WG majority approval.  The TG Vice-Chair 

is reconfirmed by the TG and reaffirmed by the WG every 2 years (May of even years); one session after the WG Chair is elected.

I would hence like to open a Call for Nominations for Coex SC VC positions.  Please respond to this e-mail or send me a personal

note if you would like to run for the position.

Nominations will be closed by the end of the WG opening plenary on Monday, May 11.

I would suggest to continue having two VCs for Coex SC.

Our current VCs Sebastian Max and Manish Kumar have indicated that they would appreciate your support in continuing in this role.

So I consider them as being nominated hereby.

VC elections will be held during the first Coex SC meeting during the May meeting.

SC Secretary:

Since the OM does not explicity specify the election process for Secretary for SCs, I would follow the procedure

for Task groups, i.e.:

>> The TG Secretary shall be appointed by the TG Chair and confirmed by a TG motion that is approved with a minimum 50%

majority. The TG Secretary is re-affirmed every 2 years (May of even years); one session after the WG Chair is elected. 

I have contacted Guido Hiertz to confirm that he is willing to continue in this role.

Confirmation vote for the Secretary position will be held during he first Coex SC meeting during the May meeting.
