This is the first call for presentations for the 802.11 Wireless Next Generation Standing Committee, which will be held during the mixed mode meeting scheduled for July 13-17, 2026 in Montreal (Canada).
Anyone is invited to present new ideas, proposals, and other forward-looking topics related to WLAN for the 802.11 community. If you would like to make a presentation, please let me know at
jim.lansford@xxxxxxxx and I'll add you to the agenda for the meeting; teleconference access will also be available for registered participants.
NOTE: There are already 7 presentations scheduled for July (left over from prior requests for agenda time) so there are a very limited number of timeslots available. One of the presentations is expected to discuss a motion to create a study group to work on the "next generation" MAC/PHY standard (PAR & CSD). As a result, participants are encouraged to wait until the Study Group (if approved) begins its work to bring up next generation issues like use cases, KPIs, etc., since the focus for nextgen will shift to that SG.
The deadline to request a WNG timeslot for the July meeting is Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 5PM Eastern Time (US).
