Overview

The role of the IEEE 802.15 Layer 2 Routing (L2R) Interest Group is to determine the level of interest for a project on Layer 2/Mesh Under Routing.

Current Status

The focus of IG L2R at the San Diego session in July was to gauge the level of interest by hearing presentations and discussion on the topic. There was an average of 30 attendees between the 2 IG L2R sessions held, representing more than 20 different entities. The recommendation of those participating was to continue as an Interest Group for the upcoming September Interim Meeting in Palm Springs.

Future Efforts

The focus of IG L2R at the Palm Springs sessions in September is to expand the call for contributions to include interest, presentations and applications and work on a tutorial to be given at the November Plenary Meeting.

How to participate

• Participate by attending and making contributions to the 802.15 IG L2R sessions during the upcoming September Interim Meeting in Palm Springs and during the upcoming November Plenary Meeting in San Antonio.
