Overview
The
IEEE P802.15 Maintenance Standing Committee (SCmaintenance) for Wireless
Personal Area Networks (WPANs) is chartered to capture issues such as
corrigenda, requests for clarification, etc for approved standards and the
802.15 Operations Manual. Please note that submissions to this
committee should not be standards in development either in the WG or in
Sponsor, rather it is for standards that have been approved by the IEEE SA.
SCmaintenance maintains a database of completed and outstanding maintenance
activities, 15-12-0367. This process was initiated in May 2012.
802.15 maintenance requests are accepted using the Maintenance Request Form
below. Please supply all of the requested information, and email your
form to the Chair of SCmaintenance, Phil Beecher, and copied to the 2nd Vice-Chair of IEEE
802.15, Ann Krieger. Questions about the
process or particular requests can also be directed to those people.
Recent Meeting
At
the recent session, the Maintenance Standing Committee addressed the
following maintenance request items

Issue
found with 18.4.2 of 802.15.4-2015, resolution was to replace text of
18.4.2 (Data whitening for the MSK PHY shall use the procedure described in
17.2.3.) with text from 16.6 of IEEE Std 802.15.4f-2012)

changes to the Operations Manual were requested
Future Meeting
For
the next session, the Maintenance Standing Committee will evaluate any
maintenance requests and will update the 802.15 Operations Manual
accordingly
