On 10 November 2025, Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) began a (follow-up) consultation on the Second Draft National Radio Frequency Plan (NRFP) 2025.

When compared with the first NRPF that the administration planned to allocate 6425 MHz to 7125 MHz for IMT allocation, you may refer to the added texts (highlighted in yellow) about the possibility of WAS/RLAN at the same frequency band.

The comment submission deadline is 11 December 2025. If you would like IEEE 802 LMSC to submit any response, please bring a contribution to IEEE 802.18 to review and consider approval no later than the IEEE 802.18 teleconference call on coming Thursday, 20 November 2025.
