IEEE 802.3 Working Group ballot results
Dear Colleagues,
The initial IEEE 802.3 Working Group ballot of the amendment IEEE P802.3df
400 Gb/s and 800 Gb/s Ethernet closed successfully on 16th April 2023. The
ballot exceeded the required 75% for consensus to approve the draft. At the
May 2023 joint IEEE P802.3cw/df/dj Task Force interim meetings
<http://www.ieee802.org/3/interims/index.html> consideration of the 108
comments submitted and determining changes to the draft as appropriate will
begin. The availability of the comment database has already been announced
on the IEEE P802.3df Task Force reflector.
The ballot statistics are:
264 Voters
158 Approve
6 Disapprove
14 Abstain
178 Ballots returned
67% Response Rate (> 50% required)
7% Abstain Rate (< 30% required)
96% Approval Rate (>= 75% required)
