Conditional approval was granted to submit IEEE P802.3df 400 Gb/s and 800 Gb/s Ethernet to the IEEE SA Standards Review Committee (RevCom) at the 17 November 2023 IEEE 802 LAN/MAN Standards Committee (LMSC) closing plenary meeting. Based on the responses developed to the comments received on the 2nd Standards Association recirculation ballot of IEEE P802.3df draft D3.2 at the 18 December 2023 IEEE P802.3df interim meeting, the conditions to submit IEEE P802.3df to RevCom were met.
As a result, IEEE P802.3df draft D3.2 has been placed on the 29 January 2024 RevCom meeting agenda where RevCom will make a recommendation regarding approval as an IEEE standard. The RevCom recommendation from that meeting will then be the subject of a 10-day email ballot of the IEEE SA Standards Board.
