All,
The leadership and editorial teams are busy planning for next week’s interim meeting, and I want to provide some updates to meeting contingencies that are being planned for next week.
First, I need to state that the number of comments received requiring consideration by the task force as a whole (referred to as “common”) exceeded are planning expectations, and we want to make sure we maximize our efficiency for handling comments to allow sufficient time for their consideration.
It is likely that the TF will run late Monday night beyond 6pm. The same is true for track meetings on Tuesday.
Next, we are currently anticipating that the logic track may finish early on Wednesday. If that should occur the optical Track will continue to meet on Wednesday, starting as early as PM1 (1:15pm). The leadership will announce the estimated start time as early as possible on Wed, based on the progress of the Logic Track meeting. Mr. Nowell will be sending out teleconference information for the contingent “Optical Track” meeting on Wednesday. The agenda for the contingent session would be 1) address any unresolved comments from Tuesday’s optical track meeting, and 2) consideration of comments identified in the Sept 2025 Comment Resolution agenda (see brown_3dj_02_2509.pdf, Page 8 – to be posted) as “common track – optical.”
Additionally, as indicated by Mr. Lusted in the announcement “Proposed Responses & Bucket1 Posted” – a new bucket comment report may be announced. Once again – the bucket approach is being utilized in an effort to ensure adequate time to discuss the various topics in common track.
Comments placed in “Bucket #2” would include:
· Comments pulled from bucket #1 and adjusted per feedback from the individual who requested their withdrawal from bucket #1.
· Any comments, which are identified on Mon (9/15) as being related to comments the CRG resolves that day, that the CRG delegates to the editors to generate a proposed response to, based on the respective related closed comment.
This “Bucket 2” will be published Monday night, and the deadline to request any comments be pulled would be Wed (9/17) 11pm, local (Central) Time. Any pulled comments will be addressed on Thursday.
Regards,
John D’Ambrosia
