Dear Colleagues,

 

The P802.3dj Task Force Chair delegated to me the announcement of the proposed response reports and “bucket 1”. 

 

Proposed responses to comments submitted during the third Working Group ballot of IEEE P802.3dj D2.3 were posted (see:   https://www.ieee802.org/3/dj/comments/index.html).  Please note the following files:

When reviewing the proposed responses, please keep in mind that they were developed by the editorial team to represent the Task Force’s present direction of moving to SA ballot, and are intended as a starting point for CRG discussion.

 

 

Note to all commenters and participants –

 

In the interest of devoting as much meeting time as possible to perceived issues, the editorial team was encouraged to make liberal use of “Bucket 1” for comments.  

• Individuals are encouraged to review the file containing all of the bucket responses. 
• Requests to withdraw comments from “Bucket 1” must be made to John D’Ambrosia, Matt Brown and Kent Lusted by 7:59:59 pm Austin, TX, USA time (UTC-6), Sunday, 18 January 2026.  This can be done with this link:  mailto:jdambrosia@xxxxxxxxx;mbrown8023@xxxxxxxxx;kent.lusted@xxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=[P802.3dj]%20IEEE%20P802.3dj%20Bucket1%20Pull%20Request
• Individuals are strongly encouraged to provide a summary of the reason for pulling the respective comment to assist the editors in understanding the issue to be addressed.

 

During the P802.3dj Task Force session, a motion is anticipated on Monday, 19 January 2026 to accept the proposed responses to comments in “Bucket 1.”  Please note any comments withdrawn from “Bucket 1” will be excluded explicitly in this motion. 

 

Additionally, the editorial team may continue to refine the proposed responses to comments that are not contained in bucket1 and may provide updated proposed response comment reports.  These updates, if made, will be announced via the email reflector.
