[802.3_EXTND_EPON] [STDS-802-3] IEEE P802.3bk Extended Ethernet Passive Optical Networks (EPON) initial Working Group ballot results

IEEE 802.3 Working Group Initial ballot on the amendment IEEE P802.3bk
Extended Ethernet Passive Optical Networks (EPON) closed successfully on
Wednesday, 9th January 2013. The ballot exceeded the required 75% for
consensus to approve the draft. The January IEEE P802.3bk Task Force meeting
<http://www.ieee802.org/3/interims/index.html> will consider the 106
comments submitted and determine changes to the draft as appropriate. The
availability of the comment database will be announced on the IEEE P802.3bk
Task Force reflector.
The ballot statistics are:

8 Disapprove
29 Abstain
124 Ballots returned
53.45% Response Rate (>= 50% required)
23.39% Abstain Rate (< 30% required)
91.58% Approval Rate (>= 75% required)
