All,

1st reminder regarding First Task Force Review for IEEE P802.3ct 100 GbE over DWDM systems.  See below for further details.

Given recent events  - I want to remind everyone, we are a contribution driven organization.   It should not be assumed by anyone that work will just get done without contributions to drive it.

Regards,

John D’Ambrosia

Subject: Announcement - First Task Force Review: IEEE P802.3ct: 100 GbE over DWDM systems

Dear Colleagues:

This is the announcement of the IEEE P802.3ct Task Force first review of IEEE P802.3ct 100 GbE over DWDM systems.  Instructions for accessing the draft and submitting comments follow this announcement.

IEEE P802.3ct is an amendment of IEEE Std 802.3-2018 as amended by IEEE Std 802.3cb-2018, IEEE Std 802.3bt-2018, IEEE Std 802.3cd-2018, EEE Std 802.3cn-20xx, IEEE Std 802.3cg-20xx, IEEE Std 802.3cq-20xx, IEEE Std 802.3cm-20xx, IEEE Std 802.3ch-20xx, IEEE Std 802.3ca-20xx, and IEEE Std 802.3cu-20xx.  A copy of IEEE Std 802.3-2018 was provided on the 2019 Electronic Media provided at the IEEE 802 Nov 2018 Plenary.  Individuals needing any of the noted amendments should contact the IEEE 802.3 WG Chair.

At the Sept 2019 interim, it was decided to split the work of the approved IEEE P802.3t PAR into two projects by modifying the existing IEEE P802.3ct PAR, and creating the IEEE P802.3cw PAR.  This draft addresses the work in the approved IEEE P802.3ct PAR that will carry forward into the new effort defined by the modified IEEE P802.3ct PAR if this is approved by the IEEE 802.3 Ethernet WG, the IEEE 802 EC, and the IEEE-SA Standards Board.

Both documentation sets are provided below:

IEEE P802.3ct Project Documentation (approved)

IEEE P802.3ct Project Documentation (pending approval by the IEEE 802.3 Ethernet WG, the IEEE 802 EC, and the IEEE-SA Standards Board.)
