    Dear colleagues,

While the July 2020 face-to-face IEEE 802 plenary meeting location has been cancelled, I'm planning on the basis that there will be a July 2020 teleconference plenary instead, more details at a later date. As a result, the July 2020 plenary will be the next opportunity for individuals to gain IEEE 802.3 voting rights. Since the March 2020 plenary meeting was cancelled, the potential voter list remains unchanged from March 2020 with the exception of those that have already been granted voting rights.

Recognising that there hasn't been a face-to-face meeting since January, I will also use the discretion the rules allow to grant membership to any individual that has attended any of the last four plenaries, or the January 2020 Interim meeting, attends the IEEE 802.3 teleconference interim today, and attends at least two other IEEE 802.3 teleconference interims between March and July. Please always make sure you correctly record your attendance at any IEEE 802.3 teleconference you attend.

To summarize I'll grant membership during the July 2020 plenary to:

[1] Anybody that: (a) is listed on the March 2020 Potential Voter list <http://ieee802.org/3/minutes/mar20/0320_potential.pdf> that isn't already a voter; AND (b) that requests membership during the July 2020 plenary.

[2] Anybody that: (a) has qualifying attendance (>75%) any of the last four plenaries, or the January 2020 Interim meeting, as recorded on <http://ieee802.org/3/minutes/mar20/0320_attendance_summary.pdf>; AND (b) attended the May 2020 IEEE 802.3 Interim teleconference call; AND (c) attended at least two two-hour IEEE 802.3 teleconference meetings since 16th March 2020 AND (d) contacts me by email by the date of the closing July 2020 plenary meeting requesting membership.

    Best regards,
      David
